This was informed during a meeting held to review the progress of Civic Management Wing (CMW) at CDA headquarters here on Monday. Private sector is also being approached for successful execution of the project.

Chairman CDA, Maroof Afzal, chaired the meeting whereas senior officers of the authority also attended the meeting.

The meeting was informed that Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has also been taken on board to seek technical assistance in this project.

The meeting was further briefed about the benefits of biodegradable plastic that it decomposes in the natural environment. Furthermore, the wastes from the decomposed biodegradable plastic do not harm the environment but are rather reused in various ways.

He was briefed that different cellular and multinational companies have also been contacted to achieve maximum results from the project.
