The provincial government has issued Rs 20 million funds in the first phase for establishment of cardiology centre at District Headquarters Hospital, Sargodha.
According to a health department spokesman, the state-of-the-art cardiology centre consisting of 50 beds will be set up at the old building of DHQ where most modern angiography and angioplasty facilities would be made available.
He said besides Sargodha, the center will facilitate people of districts of Khushab, Mianwal, Bhakhar, Chiniot, Jhang and Mandi Bahauddin.
He maintained that free of cost treatment would be provided to deserving patients with the help of philanthropists.
