Formally kicking off his campaign slot of President of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Punjab chapter, former governor Chaudhry Sarwar said all elections will be direct from union council to central committee.
Speaking to the media here after meeting with party workers, he said he can contest elections for provincial and National Assembly after tendering resignation as the Punjab governor. He said his future is associated with the PTI, adding that the party has become largest political power of the country under the charming leadership of Imran Khan.
Sarwar said all decisions in PTI are taken with consultation, rejecting the allegations of one-man-show. He further said party workers are given chances through intra-party polls to choose their leaders.
The former governor said that ruling PML-N and PPP did not give the country anything except crises, adding that over 1.1 million people do not have access to clean drinking water and 4,000 people are dying due to hepatitis.
He said his decision to contest for the post of President Punjab chapter is voice of party workers. “I will make PTI a powerful force across the province while engaging party workers at all level,” he added. He further said the PTI will clean sweep in next general elections and they will bring prosperity in the country.
Sarwar said today no justice is available to people and that is creating disappointment among the masses.
