Sharif brothers send a pair of buffaloes as gift to the Emir of Qatar as thanks on the LNG deal

The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) will bear all expenses of the cargo plane that will be carrying buffaloes which will be sent as a present to the Emir of Qatar from Sharif brothers, a private news channel reported on Saturday.

According to details, the national flag carrier will bear all expenses of the cargo plane which will transport the buffaloes (sent as a present from Sharif brothers to the Emir of Qatar). This means that the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) will have to pay fueling, landing and parking charges for the Doha venture by itself. The buffalo pair will be sent as a personal gift from Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for the Emir.

The cargo plane carrying the Sahiwal breed buffalo pair will depart for Doha tomorrow. The gift has been sent as a token of thanks to the Qatar Emir for agreeing to the LNG deal with Pakistan on low rates.

A couple of weeks ago, PIA employees had gone on a countrywide strike against the government in protest against the airline’s privatisation. The government had responded with enforcing the Essential Services Maintenance Act to force the employees to return to their jobs. After a week-long suspension of the flight operations, the employees finally ended their strike and resumed their jobs.

  1. WHY IS THE PARLIAMENT QUIET ON THIS MISUSE OF PUBLIC MONEY? AND HOW DARE SHARIF BROTHERS DO THiS DAYLIGHT ROBBERY?

  2. daylight robbery? who is getting the beneft of LNG deal? it the people of pakistan, not NS or SS. So even the personal gift, are actually state gift. However, the government should pay to PIA all charges related to this shipmet

  3. Another wise decision from the Sharifs. And why not ? The Airline which is running into profit for years can easily afford this burden. The less said of this 'Be-his' leadership, the better.
