While many were devastated after Pakistan lost another game against archrival India, Muhammad Amir’s performance raised the spirits of some. But many were still angry at the Pakistan Cricket Board and Najam Sethi for the loss.

Journalist Ansar Abbasi took to twitter to express his disappointment:

“PCB you have utterly disappointed us. #PSLT20 was a success but Pak team is bringing shame for the nation again and again.”

Haroon Rashid, another journalist said: “Let’s replace Najam Sethi with Hafiz Saeed, at least against India. Pak will surely win.”

Pakistan’s batting woes put some in the mood for vengeance.

TV journalist Maria Memon tweeted: “It’s about time that PCB implements ‘Pay per Run’ policy to address Pak batting woes.”

Some were not ready to give Sethi credit for putting Amir, the only silver lining on a very dark day, in the team. Just the opposite, in fact, as a twitter user Hassan Niazi said: “The only good thing that happened today was… Amir is surely the next big thing!!! Sethi plz stay away from him.”

Another, Farhan Khan Virk, went even further: “#IndvsPak This is all because of one man, Najam Sethi”

Some broke out past politics to diss the most visible face of PCB.

Commentator Saroor Ijaz said: “Cricket revived by Najumi Sethi in PSL has been ‘11 punctured’ in Bangladesh.”

Some people were of the opinion that the PCB needs to be overhauled and better coaches should be hired to improve the team’s performance.

“Nepotism in the PCB has ruined our cricket team. It’s time to purge the team from such elements,” said Anees Shoaib, a cricket enthusiast.
