The United States (US) Department of State has stated that strategic dialogue with Pakistan would be held on February 29 (Monday).
State Department Spokesperson Mark Toner, in a press briefing in Washington, said regional tensions and terrorism were among the agenda of the talks.
Other matters of mutual importance that would be talked about were trade affairs and restoration of peace in the region, he added.
The US delegation will be led by Secretary of State John Kerry in the talks.
The spokesperson said that the US had always endorsed talks and cooperation between India and Pakistan. He said that cooperation between the two neighbours to curb terrorism would benefit the region.
