Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Friday said that federal government was committing injustice and brutality with the innocent people in imposing additional taxes on gas, power and diesel.

The PTI chief said in a statement that for the first time in history, the domestic made urea was being sold at 250 per cent extra prices in the country and Rs 30 billion were being charged from farmers in one year through additional money.

“Fertilizer factories, in league with the federal government, are selling urea at inflated rates while farmers are being deprived of benefits of reduction in the cost of agri-products”, he added.

Imran Khan further said that the government, on one hand, claims to have given relief to the people while on other, it is breaking the back of the farmers while imposing additional taxes on gas, power and diesel.

He added that government is taking foreign loans to run the business of the state while investment worth billions of dollars is being made with the money earned through corruption and unfair means.

“The Pakistanis have raised properties worth $6.6 billion, which are approximately Rs 700 billion in Dubai. As per land record of Dubai, in 2015 alone, Pakistanis purchased properties worth $2 billion in Dubai,” the PTI chairman said.
