At least four people were killed and 17 others injured in different road accidents in various areas of Punjab on Friday.
In Okara on GT Road near Railway Crossing No III, at least three people were killed and 15 others were wounded when a speeding passenger van overturned after hitting a motorcycle. According to police, the bodies and the injured were shifted to hospital where condition of four injured was stated to be serious.
The police took the van and motorcycle into custody and after registering a case against the van driver responsible for the accident started the investigation.
In Gujranwala, a man was killed while two others were seriously wounded in collision of cars.
Rescue sources said that two speeding cars while attempting to overtake each other collided near Garden Town Gujranwala.
One motorist died on the spot in the accident while two others were critically injured and rushed to hospital for treatment.
