The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Thursday ordered to remove billboards from Shahrah-e-Faisal, FTC and other residential areas of the mega city and sought a report from the authorities concerned in 15 days.
The two-member SHC bench headed by Justice Hassan Rizvi heard a constitutional plea stating that a large number of sign boards and billboards were erected in the areas of Shahrah-e-Faisal and FTC despite Supreme Court’s restraining orders.
The petitioner pleaded that the billboards were not only threatening the lives of citizens but also affecting the metropolis’ beauty and urged the court to direct the authorities for their early removal.
