Rule of law, accountability will ensure zero corruption in society: Rabbani

Senate Chairman Mina Raza Rabbani Friday said that dream of complete eradication of corruption from the country could not be materialized without ensuring rule of law and across the board accountability.

Addressing the participants of the graduation ceremony of Investigators Basic Induction Course at Sihala Police Training College organized by National Accountability Bureau (NAB), he urged all segments of the society to stand against the corruption.

He was of the view that complete eradication of corruption from the country was not possible without the support of masses.

Mian Raza Rabbani underlined the need for accountability across the board without any discrimination and status.

“The dream of eliminating corruption will materialize when accountability will be equal for rich, ruling class and other citizen of the country,” he added.

He urged the new officers to play their role in elimination of corrupt practices from the country.

The chairman congratulated the passing out officers and said they had big responsibility to purge the society of corrupt elements and practices.

He also felicitated parents of the NAB officers over their successful graduation.

Chairman National Accountability Bureau Chaudhry Qamar Zaman said that 104 officers had been selected out of 4,200 applicants for the job.He said that selection had been made on merit and in a transparent manner.

The NAB chairman also appreciated efforts and skills of training officers for equipping the newly inducted officers with modern interrogation techniques. Later, he distributed medals and certificates among topers of the graduation course.
