PM arrives in Karachi to perform groundbreaking of Green Line bus project

Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif on Friday arrived in Karachi for the ground-breaking ceremony of Green Line Bus Rapid Transit System.  

According to local media, Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah, Governor Sindh Ishratul Ibad Khan and Director General Rangers Major General Bilal Akbar received the prime minister at the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Faisal base.

The Green Line Bus Rapid Transit System is considered to be a significant milestone in upgrading and de-congesting the overburdened transport infrastructure of Karachi.

The Rs 16 billion project starts from Surjani Town and ends at Municipal Park, M.A Jinnah Road Karachi.

The project will be completed in one year.
