Kidnapped former Afghan governor recovered after two weeks

Former Afghan governor Sayed Fazlullah Wahidi was recovered on Friday, two weeks after he was abducted in Islamabad, local media reported.

His son, Nemat Wahidi, told local media, “Wahidi has been found and handed over to Afghanistan consulate in Peshawar.”

Afghanistan’s former governor of Herat province was kidnapped on February 12 in Islamabad by unidentified men.
