The third Children’s Literature Festival (CLF) started with singing the CLF anthem “Humay Kitaab Chahye” and folk dance performed by the students of different schools where culture of all four provinces was represented.

The founder of CLF, Baela Raza Jamil, and Dawood Foundation CEO Sabrina Dawood gave a warm welcome to the children followed by the keynote address by the award-winning author and storyteller, Rukhsana Khan. “Be inspired, interact with one another, learn from one another, discuss and discover the wonderment in life,” Sabrina told the children eagerly waiting for the rest of the day. Secretary Education and Literacy Department Dr Fazlullah also addressed the children, teachers and guests present at the ceremony and announced support for future CLFs in interior Sindh.

The festival was divided into storytelling sessions, theater, book launches and intriguing activities. Several notable figures moderated the sessions. Embracing the digital literacy and emerging digital strands in the academia, a session conducted by Ameen Jan from Edequal, demonstrated how e-learning enables conceptual development among children. The day concluded on a refreshing musical performance by Zoe Viccaji, one of the most mesmerizing singers in Pakistan.
