At least 57 suspects were apprehended by law enforcement agencies during search separate operations in Peshawar and Quetta on Friday.
According to police sources, at least 50 suspected people including an Afghan national were arrested during joint search operation conducted by security forces and police in Yakka Toot and adjacent areas of Peshawar. Police also seized five pistols, one Kalashnikov and hundreds of cartridges from their possession.
Police said that sniffer dogs were also used in the operation.
More than 560 houses were searched during door to door search operation.
The detained persons were shifted to the Agha Mirjani police station.
Meanwhile, the law enforcement agencies (LEAs) personnel arrested seven suspects and recovered weapons during search operation inQuetta.
Spokesman of Frontier Corps (FC) said that the police and the paramilitary troops conducted joint operation against the miscreants in Nawan Kaley locality of the provincial capital Quetta.
During operation the law enforcers after minor resistance apprehended seven suspects with arms including 3 SMGs, a Kalashnikov, eight pistols and hundreds of rounds.
