33 schools set up on 15 brick kilns in Rawalpindi district

As many as 33 new schools have been set up for children earlier working in brick kilns in Rawalpindi.

Around 1,580 children who were working in brick kilns have been admitted to these schools so far books, uniforms, bags, shoes and copies have been provided free of cost to these children, said a source in the education department.

These non-formal basic education brick kilns schools have been set up under literacy department in the areas of Loshar market Chak Beli road, Mandra Madi village, Dhok Syedan, Chak Jalal Din, Dhok Hamida, Wahdat Colony Taxila, Gujar Khan Jatli road, Nagil Pehlwan brick klin and Kallar Syedan. Educated people from the local areas have been appointed as teachers in these schools.
