All departments of Capital Development Authority (CDA) and its employees would be working under Islamabad Metropolitan Corporation (IMC).
The corporation has become functional after the recently-held local bodies election in federal capital.
All 33 directorates of CDA and its 8,500 employees would be formally transferred to IMC, said an official source on Wednesday. IMC would also be responsible for paying their salaries and other benefits.
Similarly, three departments of the ICT including civil defence, health directorate and local governments, would also be shifted to the IMC. He said the CDA had 55 directorates, 33 of them would be devolved to the IMC.
He said the mayor of Islamabad will have the status of grade 20 functionaries while deputy mayors will get the facilities of grade 19 officials.
CDA had already proposed the offices for the mayor and deputy mayors in CDA’s revenue building (Iqbal Hall) and old Navel Headquarters.
