Imran’s Peshawar visit marred by protest sit-ins

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan ‘s visit to Peshawar on Thursday was marred by protest sit-ins as students and traders chanted ‘Go Imran Go’ in his face in sharp disapproval of the provincial government.

Upon the arrival of Imran Khan at Peshawar University, activists of different student organizations held a sit-in against hike in fees and voiced slogans against the government.

As the skipper was led into the convocation hall, members of PTI’s student wing were barred from entrance, prompting protest by students for not allowing them to meet Khan.

The outcry did not end here and as soon as the trade fraternity became aware of the PTI chief’s visit they also resorted to protest against government.

The traders chanted ‘Go Imran Go’ and called for handing over Peshawar to Rangers.
