Musharraf suffering from severe backache: doctors

Former President Gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf on Wednesday was advised by doctors that he needed hospitalization because of severe backache and pain in a foot.

A three-member team of Pakistan Navy Ship (PNS) Shifa Karachi doctors examined the Musharraf at his residence and advised for his hospitalization. The former president would reportedly be shifted to the hospital amid tight security.

According to doctors, the former President was having severe pain in his back and foot.

It may be added that Musharraf’s health has deteriorated for couple of times in the last 10 days. On February 11, he had fainted at home and was moved to the hospital and stayed there for around 5 hours. Doctors had advised him complete rest. Five days later, he again fell ill and his medical check-up was done at home.

A local court in Islamabad had issued non-bailable warrants for former president Pervez Musharraf in Lal Masjid operation case by rejecting his plea for exemption from appearing before the court.
