The Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) would establish more zoos in the city when its mayor comes into power.

MQM Senator Dr Farooq Sattar made the announcement during an event organised by Foundation Public School at Karachi Zoological Garden here on Tuesday.

Sattar said the MQM would improve civic infrastructure of the city, adding that the provincial government of Sindh was adding to the city’s woes instead of resolving the issues facing the city.

MQM leader Khalid Maqbool Siddique and nominated deputy mayor Dr Arshad Abdullah Vohra and others were present on the occasion.

  1. First feed the people with clean food and water the worry about keeping Zoos, or better put people in zoos, it least the will be fed. Oh you cannot do that too busy scheming to make money out of illiterate people. Sorry my mistake I thought I was communicating with a caring human.

  2. Not a bad idea. During their last tenure, they earned billions from development funds in the city. Elephants presented by an African Country, free of cost , were converted into Purchases and millions were pocketed..The problem is still unsolved. And when they will have animals, dozens of contracts will be in line related to food, accommodation, health staff for the zoo and so on. Last years MQM cut thousands of mature trees and sold timber and made money – all in the name of serving the people. Politics is other name of Haramkhori in Pakistan.
