UET, Chinese company ink MoU for energy solutions

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony between the Centre for Energy Research and Development (CERAD), UET Lahore and Chinese Zonergy Company Ltd was held at Vice Chancellor’s Office on Tuesday.

UET Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Fazal Ahmad Khalid and key persons from both sides attended the ceremony. The MoU was signed for a mutual collaboration for development of energy solutions and technologies which are within the domain of mutual expertise and are needed for the country. The purpose of this MoU is to initiate further collaboration for the projects of mutual interest.

Under the agreement, Zonergy will train 10 engineers form UET for Quaid-e-Azam Solar Park Bahawalpur and CERAD-UET will facilitate this training session.

Addressing the participants, Vice Chancellor Fazal Ahmad Khalid said that the friendship between Pakistan and China is so strong and deep that China has continued to help out Pakistan in every problem. Presently Pakistan is facing energy crisis and China is working on many projects in this regard this MoU will facilitate to fulfil the desired quality Human Resource for solar project of Bahawalpur. VC UET also told about the Chinese Center and Chinese Language Training Centres functioning at the university.

Ma Yu, Director Zonergy Company Ltd, described about their projects and expressed as to how efficiently his company was working in the field specifically in Quaid e Azam Solar Park Bahwalpur.
