Sharif jubilant as China’s EXIM Bank approves loan for Metro train

 

Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that Exam Bank of China has announced to release the loan for Orange Line Metro Train project.

He said that it is jurisdiction of the court to hear the petitioner. He said that we will face the applications in a legal manner.

Talking to Pakistan Today Editor Arif Nizami in his talkshow DNA on Channel 24, Sharif said that announcement of loan by Exam Bank of China is expression of confidence in the transparency of Nawaz Sharif government and honour for 180 million Pakistanis. He said one of the reasons of opposition of orange line metro train is that the country should not progress. He said that the opponents, in fact, are making joke with the need of common man. He said that those traveling by aeroplanes and luxury vehicles are unaware of the needs of common man. He said that PTI, PPP and Q-League are opposing the poor people. The chief minister said that at the end of 2017, more than 250,000 people will travel daily on completion of orange line metro train. He said that 150,000 people travel daily by metro bus. He said that the number of passengers will further increase due to shifting of passengers of metro bus to metro train near MAO Collage.

Sharif said that the announcement of release of loan by Exam Bank is a clear proof to deep love of China. He said that Exam Bank gave loan on soft terms which will be paid in 20 years and will be payable after seven years of the completion of the project at interest rate of 2.4 per cent. The chief minister said that payment is being made despite incomplete ownership deeds of the residents of Jain Mandar and other areas. He said that political dwarfs will be failed in hoodwinking the poor people. Replying to a question, Sharif said that the people of China are fully aware of the case of orange line metro train and other matters, therefore, despite it, announcement of release of loan is an honour for the people of Pakistan.
