Under the directives of the Punjab government, Rawalpindi’s Education Department has issued forms for supply of arms to 161 sensitive schools.
Licences will be issued in the names of heads of these schools. The Education Department has directed headmasters of these schools to fill in the forms and file them in arms branch of the DCO Office so that they could be issued arms licences. The forms have been issued to 161 A-plus and A-category schools in the first phase. These schools had deposited Rs 11,27,000 out of their promotion of educational funds for obtaining arms licences.
