Pigeon flying banned

District administration of Islamabad on Monday imposed a ban on pigeon flying for a month.

According to details, a notification was issued by district administration, in which it was mentioned that pigeon flying has been banned for two months. A ban on kite flying is already in place in the capital city.

This action took place, under Section 144, for the preparations of March 23 fly-past. “Pigeons and kites can cause aircrafts accidents,” mentioned the notification.

Government has chalked out a strategy to deal with PIA’s protesting employees at the Rawalpindi’s Benazir Bhutto International Airport as Rawalpindi district administration has imposed Section 144 around the airport for 48 hours.

The assembly of four or more people at a time or holding a public meeting or taking out a procession within the jurisdiction of airport has been banned.

The local administration said that Section 144 was imposed as passengers at the airport are facing difficulties due to protests being staged by PIA employees.
