NBF to organise book fair on Feb 24-25

The National Book Foundation (NBF) will organise a two-day book on occasion of Social Sciences Expo 2016 on February 24-25 at Pak China Friendship Centre.

More than 25 publishers, book sellers and printers will set up book stalls in the event for promoting book reading culture among different segments of society. Special discount will also be offered on books. Moreover, lucky book draw and book launching ceremonies will also be part of the fair, an NBF press release said on Sunday.

Advisor to Prime Minister on National History and Literacy Heritage Irfan Siddiqui will inaugurate the fair. NBF Managing Director Prof Dr Inam ul Haq Javeid , Chairman Inter University Consortium Vice Chancellor Haripur University Dr Nasser Ali Khan, Vice Chancellor Abdul Wali Khan University Dr Ihsan Ali, National Coordinator Inter University Consortium Muhammad Murtaza  Noor and writers will also be present on the occasion.

The book, ‘Safar Namay’ of renowned columnist, writer and Chairman Pakistan Television Ata ul Haq Qasmi will also be launched. Advisor to Prime Minister Irfan Siddiqui will be the chief guest at the function while Dr Najeeba Arif and Hamid Shahid will read papers.
