Police on Sunday launched raids to nab the fake pir in Ferozwala child killing case.
The police personnel have stated that the woman has confessed to killing her eight-year-old child Umair on the advice of fake pir to set the minor free from genie.
The relatives and father of Umair have vanished from the scene.
Earlier, police had registered a murder case against a woman who strangled her son to death on a fake pir’s advice in a bid to get him free of a genie.
The incident took place in Wandala Dayal Shah area of Ferozwala where a woman identified as Shabana first strangled her eight-year-old son and then hanged him with a ceiling fan with a scarf.
Neighbours entered the house as they heard boy’s scream and saw Shabana fleeing from the scene. She was caught and handed over to police.
