A 10-year-old boy died after he fell down from roof top while flying kite here on Monday morning.
Police said that a child identified as Ibrar 10, while flying kite at his roof top in Mustafaabad area of Sheikhupura slipped and came down on ground, resulting in his death. The body was shifted to hospital where it was handed over to heirs after medico-legal formalities.
Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif while taking the notice of the life losses due to kites flying in different cities made Additional SP Sheikhura OSD, suspended SDPO Muridke Arshad Mehmood Sahi and SHO City Police Station Muridke Umer Sheraz. He also directed for taking strict action against those violating ban on kites flying.
It is worth mentioning here that despite the provincial government has imposed ban on kites flying, the citizens continue mass violation in various cities which often results in loss of precious lives and injuries to many others.
Hundreds of culprits involved in kites flying, business and purchasing have been also arrested in the recent week from different cities of the province.
