The star-studded HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) is set to conclude on a high note as all the seats for the February 23 final in Dubai are already sold for the 25,000-capacity stadium, according to league chairman Najam Sethi.
Quetta Gladiators have already qualified for the final, while Peshawar Zalmi and Islamabad United will vie it out tonight for the other spot.
The PSL chairman has also invited Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and World Cup winning captain Imran Khan to watch the final but the duo are yet to confirm their attendance.
With 69 local and 29 foreign stars, the five-team, 24-match league started off on February 4 in the United Arab Emirates.
The teams were sold for a total of $93 million to ARY media group (Karachi Kings), Qatar Oil (Lahore Qalandars), UAE Capital Venture (Islamabad United), Haier (Peshawar Zalmi) and Omar Associates (Quetta Gladiators) for 10 years, with $200,000 salaries for top-tier players and relatively handsome pays for mid-tier and emerging talent as well. The winning side, meanwhile, will bring home $1 million.
