President Mamnoon Hussain has said that the terrorists are retreating as a result of successful Zarb-e-Azb operation.
Addressing the 12th convocation of Sarhad University in Islamabad on Saturday, he said law and order situation is being restored and day is not far when the country will see the dawn of complete peace and stability.
The president said some misguided elements who declare themselves as the champions of Islam target educational institutions, mosques and other places without any discrimination.
He said the entire nation should stand behind their armed forces and other security agencies to foil the nefarious designs of these misguided elements. Our armed forces have achieved major successes and they are confident to take this war to its logical conclusion.
He said the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa deserve applauds for standing like a rock wall in front of the terrorists.
Referring to the ongoing operation in Karachi, the president said the government is determined to continue the operation in the industrial and economic hub of the country till complete elimination of all criminal elements.
Earlier, the president gave away awards to the outstanding students.
