Nawaz Sharif says country will be completely rid of terrorism

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said on Friday that due to the government’s measures, terror activities had reduced and lives of people were safer now.

Addressing a ceremony in connection with the launch of Montessori classes in the federal government schools, the prime minister said that the security situation had improved significantly as a result of successful operations against terrorists.

He said the forward march will continue and the country will be completely rid of terrorism.

The prime minister called for bringing improvements in syllabus to ensure quality education in schools.

He said that bringing improvements in the education sector was part of the manifesto of the PML(N) government.

He said billions of rupees were being spent on renovation and upgradation of facilities in federal schools. So far, 22 schools have been renovated under the education reforms programme.

Sharif directed the concerned authorities to ensure quality of construction in the renovated schools.

He said the laboratories and libraries should be equipped with all the facilities and the students should have access to better sports facilities.

Sharif said that students are the future leaders and they have to play an important role for the progress and bright future of the country.

He also directed that security arrangements should be further strengthened in educational institutions.
