The Punjab Assembly on Thursday witnessed a ruckus as Law Minister Rana Sanaullah and Opposition Leader Mian Mehmoodur Rasheed exchanged hot words over the Orange Line Metro train project.
Speaking in the House, Sanaullah said the Orange Line train project was the most cost-effective project, but he was surprised as to why the opposition was denouncing it.
The law minister’s arguments in favour of the project enraged Opposition Leader Rasheed who claimed that the Punjab government was making merry after acquiring loan for the Orange Line project.
He said he would resign if the project proved to be cost-effective and if not Sanaullah would have to resign.
