Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Spokesman Danyal Gilani has clarified that show-cause notices have only been issued to those employees who were actively involved in the strike.
In a statement, he said the employees who had been served with notices could reply to the management within the given timeframe, clarifying their positions. The spokesman said that law would take its course against those employees only who were found guilty of causing losses worth billions of rupees to the national airline and sufferings to thousands of passengers. Danyal Gilani said under the Essential Services Act, the PIA’s management was bound to take appropriate action against those found guilty.
