Commenting on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s remarks about harassment of government employees by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), former president and co-chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Asif Ali Zardari on Tuesday said the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) was doing the same against the opposition party.
“Mian Sahib not only NAB but your FIA is also doing the same job,” he said in a statement issued by the PPP. “Dr Asim is not involved in corruption, and one of your ministers has also conceded this yet the former petroleum minister is being harassed by security agencies for the last several months,” he added.
Zardari also accused the government of repeatedly violating the 18th Constitutional Amendment.
