CM, Istanbul’s mayor inaugurate modern taxi service in city

Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Mayor Istanbul Dr Kadir Topbas have inaugurated modern radio cab taxi service.

Initially, 100 vehicles will ply in Lahore and its number will be increased in phases. After inauguration of taxi service, Sharif and Kadir Topbas sat in radio cab vehicle and drove it. Addressing the inaugural ceremony, Sharif said the friendship of Pakistan and Turkey is spread over centuries and the world knows that the hearts of people of both the countries beat together. He said that Pak-Turk friendship has achieved a new dimension during the tenure of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Turk leadership Recep Tayyip Erdogan. He said this friendship has been changed into useful economic relations and trade and investment between both the countries is increasing. The chief minister said that Albayrak Group had started investment in Punjab during our previous tenure and now investment of this group has reached billions of rupees. He said the governments of Turkey and Punjab worked under mutual collaboration for the promotion of investment and forwarded this collaboration. He said the role of his brother Kadir Topbas has been prominent in increasing collaboration between Turkey and the Punjab government who has supported us on every occasion. Sharif thanked Albayrak Group and Kadir Topbas on launching modern taxi service and said that the start of modern radio cab taxi service is a gift for Lahorities.

He said that the service being started with 100 vehicles will reach thousands in coming few years through which quality travelling facilities will be available to the citizens. Sharif said that Mayor Istanbul Kadir Topbas is his brother and friend and Pakistani people particularly people of Punjab are very happy over the visit of Kadir. Addressing the inaugural ceremony, Mayor Istanbul Kadir Topbas said that he has brought a message of love and sincerity of Turk brethren for brothers of Punjab. He said that promotion of cooperation with the Punjab government will also continue in future. Turk Ambassador Babur S Gurgin, MNA Mehr Ishtiaq Ahmed, Kh Ahmed Hasaan, Albayrak Group Noori Albayrak and a large number of citizens were present on the occasion.

Meanwhile, Kadir called met Sharif. Both the leaders discussed the bilateral relations and cooperation between Pakistan and Turkey. The chief minister said the visit of the mayor reflects the better relations between two the countries. Sharif said that historical relations of the both countries now have converted into strong economic ties. Topbas appreciated the efforts of the chief minister for development and prosperity of Punjab.

Later, talking to Scot Land Member of Parliament Hanzala Malik, the chief minister said the overseas Pakistanis commission is playing a pivotal role in resolving problems of overseas Pakistanis. He said overseas Pakistanis are gaining good name for the country by their hard work and abilities.

Hanzala Malik said establishing independent overseas Pakistanis commission in Punjab is a great step by the provincial government.

Mayor of Istanbul Dr Kadir Topbas also visited mausoleum of Dr Allama Muhammad Iqbal and Badshahi Masjid in Lahore on Tuesday.

  1. This is topi service, wake up Pakistan do not work with Turkey they are causing problems for Russia in Syria. We dobnot want Isis in Pakistan and Turkey has supported them as well as Rita Katz from SITE!
