The less we talk about PTI the better it is for Pakistan: Marvi

Benazir Income Support Program Chairperson Marvi Memon has said the less they think and talk about Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan the better it is for Pakistan.

Addressing the media and the needy women in Sukkur on Sunday, Marvi said the Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) believed in provincial autonomy. “There will be no injustice with any province on NFC award. If a province is trying to give it a flavour of provincialism then it is actually trying to hide its failures,” Marvi said.

In order to make sure that the needy women do not have to suffer the humiliation of standing in low queues, the system of payment of amount under the Benazir Income Support Program is going to be changed.

She ruled out the allegations regarding preferring certain provinces in the programme and clarified that all provinces were being facilitated evenly without any discrimination and some elements area leveling baseless blames.

She said those deserving women who were not beneficiaries of the BISP would also be included the programme after conducting a survey.

The BISP centers will be established especially in the rural areas of the country so that deserving beneficiaries could be facilitated. She said that directives had been issued to the officials regarding forthcoming census. Marvi said she was unaware of the short period reserved for the census and would apprise the federation about the reservations of the Sindhi people over this issue.
