Khawaja Haris, Punjab government’s counsel, Monday refused to defend the Orange Line Metro Train project in the court.
Haris had been defending the provincial government in the Lahore High Court in a case filed against the construction of Orange Line Metro Train project in Lahore, which will not only displace many people in several localities as their houses will be razed but also affect some historical places in the provincial capital.
Khawaja Haris has reportedly returned the fee to the government which he had charged to fight the case.
