Sarwar calls for ruthless accountability

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior leader Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar has said that the PML-N rulers in Punjab are far ahead of all in the race for corruption and called for ruthless accountability.

Addressing a reception in his honour on Sunday, Sarwar said that the PML-N government has been throwing away the resources of “already under debt country” in election winning projects instead of public welfare projects and making poor people’s lives more miserable.

The PTI senior leader said that the rulers and their cronies were taking their wealth out of the country day in and day out and were not answerable to anyone, said a press release issued on Sunday.

After the massive power load shedding, he said that the rulers had now snatched the facility of Sui-gas and now they have been shamelessly raising slogans of economic development in the country.

He said that the rulers were devising economic policies in line with their business interests and poor labourers and farmers had been left with nothing in their hands. He said that the Punjab rulers were using public money on controversial projects instead of people-welfare projects.

He demanded that the Azad Jammu and Kashmir elections should be held under the direct supervision of army for protecting the sanctity of voters’ right to franchise.
