Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said that the government has achieved a milestone by reaching Liquefied Natural Gas deal with Qatar.
Talking to a private news channel, he said that LNG was only way out to meet growing energy demands in the country. Shahid Khaqan said LNG would also help overcome energy shortage.
He said the incumbent government realising its responsibility, initiated a number of energy projects to provide uninterrupted power supply to the consumers. The minister said that the government had signed a long-term LNG agreement with Qatar while five more agreements would be made in future. To a question, he said international community was now praising the policies of the government and foreign investors were keen to invest in the country.
