Cracker attacks near different educational institutes in Karachi created panic among students, teachers and parents on Friday.

About half a dozen people were reported injured in three separate cracker attacks on educational institutions of the city, which created panic and fear.

Rescue teams, police and rangers rushed to the scene and took the situation under control.

According to details, the first attack took place when three unidentified persons on a motorbike hurled a cracker grenade at the Mobina Town Police Station on Main Abul Hassan Isafahani Road. One policeman sustained minor injuries in the attack and was transported to the hospital for treatment. The blast partially damaged the wall of the building. The suspects managed to flee after the attack.

In the second attack, unknown persons threw another grenade outside Apwa Government College in Karimabad, which struck the college’s boundary wall and injured two people.

They were rushed to Abassi Shaheed Hospital for treatment. After the treatment, the injured children were discharged from the hospital. They were identified as Saqina, daughter of Abbas, and Usama, 16, son of Arif.

The third attack happened in North Nazimabad’s Block A area, in which unknown motorcyclists threw a grenade outside a school. The attackers escaped the crime scene. Luckily, no loss of life or injury to anyone was caused in the attack.

Sindh assembly members expressed concern over the attacks.

Leader of the opposition Khawaja Izharul Hassan raised the issue in the assembly and requested the speaker to allow them to table a resolution regarding school security.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah condemned the attacks on the school, college, and police station. He said that providing security to 40,000 schools and colleges was a huge challenge. However, a security plan had been devised for the protection of educational institutions. He issued special directions to probe the incidents.

  1. Dissertation thesis writing is a very high standard form of academic writing. Students as well as teachers take this form of writing seriously. The term ‘Dissertation thesis’ tells you two things. The first is that it is a dissertation, and the second is that it is thesis writing.
