Queen Maxima of Netherlands on Thursday called on President Mamnoon Hussain and discussed matters of mutual interest.
The Queen is on a three-day visit to Pakistan on Tuesday in the capacity of UN Secretary General’s Special Advocate (UNSGSA) for Inclusive Finance for Development.
During the meeting, the president said that the welfare of masses was the cornerstone of the government s development policy. He said that the government had put the economy on the right track through prudent policies.
Queen Maxima appreciated Pakistan’s stance regarding terrorism and said the cooperation with Pakistan would continue for improving the economic situation of common man.
Earlier, the Queen visited headquarters of National Database Registration Authority, where NADRA Chairman Usman Yousaf Mobeen briefed her about the services being provided by the organization.
She also visited National Telecommunication Corporation (NTC) headquarters. On the occasion, Minister of State for Information Technology and Telecommunication Anusha Rehman briefed her about the progresses made by the country in the telecom and IT sectors over the past few years.
