A spokesman of the Health Department has said that there is no shortage of BCG vaccine in Punjab.
He said some media reports wrongly claimed that there was a shortage of BCG vaccine in Punjab, said a press release issued on Friday.
The spokesman said that Punjab has adequate stock of BCG available till April 2016. The spokesman further said that the contents of letter written to the Federal EPI were misinterpreted in which advanced planning, forecast and buffer stock amid news of possible global shortage were discussed.
