Meeting held to review PRA performance

A meeting was held at the Punjab Revenue Authority (Headquarters) on Friday wherein the performance of enforcement officers of PRA came under consideration. Besides officers at Lahore, the meeting was also attended by officers posted in PRA’s Commissionerates at Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Faisalabad and Multan.

Addressing the participants, PRA Chairperson Dr Raheal Ahmed Siddiqui directed that PRA officers should make all-out efforts for enforcement and collection of due taxes and should not be deterred by challenges faced by them.

He also stressed that the chief minister in a recent meeting had offered his full support to the efforts of Punjab Revenue Authority and the finance minister and the chief secretary had also appreciated PRA’s efforts. He stressed that as the premier tax collection agency of the province with an overall collection of Rs 31.657 billion for the first seven months of the current financial year till January 31, 2016, PRA’s contribution in the development of the Punjab could not be discounted.
