A man died after being allegedly assaulted by police on Friday near Railway Station in Lahore.
A source told Online that the custom officials and police personnel carried out an operation against pan and gutka shops and vandalised the shops. A shopkeeper, identified as Akhtar Ayub resisted with the officials and police. Police allegedly assaulted him and he died on the spot. The body was shifted to hospital for medico-legal formalities. After the incident, the protesters blocked the road and staged protest demonstration.
