Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak said on Thursday that all out efforts would be made to eliminate corruption to achieve progress in all public departments of the area.
He said status quo would be the fate of people if intervention in public departments was not stopped.
Speaking at a ceremony held at Peshawar Press Club after administering oath to newly elected office bearers and governing body of the club, Khattak said that all the institutions should be made apolitical to achieve the goal of change in larger interests of the people.
The KP CM said that if institutions were not given authority and corruption was not eliminated, the task to change existing system would become insurmountable.
Khattak said that government was engaged on various fronts and striving for welfare of a common man. He claimed that 80 percent problems have been and that efforts were being made to address the remaining issues.
PTI was voted into power by the massive support of young generation adding that government would fulfil the pledges made to them in the general elections. He urged journalist’s community to raise voice for the rights of people and help government to further orient its policies for people’s welfare.
