Two suspected dacoits were killed in an alleged encounter with Special Investigation Unit (SIU) of police in Korangi area here early on Thursday morning.
According to Senior Superintendent of Police SIU Farooq Awan, on a tip-off a raid was conducted in a Korangi area to arrest the accused. An exchange of fire took place with the, which resulted into their killings.
Weapons were also recovered from the accused, who were involved in several bank robberies, he claimed.
Meanwhile, personnel of law enforcement agencies conducted a search operation inBaldia Ittehad Town and arrested two members of a Lyari gang war group.
