90% payment of compensation to afectees of Metro train completed

Provincial Minister for Food Bilal Yasin has said that the government has completed 90 percent payment of compensation of land acquired for Lahore Orange Line Train for providing dignified traveling facilities of international standard to the people. He said that after thorough scrutiny of documents, payment of compensation has been made. He said that highly organised and transparent arrangements have been made for payment so that the owners should not face any inconvenience for getting compensation.

He said this while talking to the people at payment centre set up at Government College University ground on Tuesday. The provincial minister said that cheques of payment of compensation have been distributed among affectees in a very speedy and active mechanism. He said that all facilities have been provided to the people at these centres and officers and staffs of departments concerned have disposed off matters of the people speedily. He said it is endeavour of the government that no person or family should face any problem.

Bilal said that best compensation has been given to the people so that they should not face any problem. He said that Orange Line Train will prove a revolutionary project which will leave far-reaching impacts. He said that a new traffic culture will be introduced in Lahore due to this project. He said that honourable travelling facilities will be available to the people particularly elders, women and children will especially benefit. The provincial minister said that immediate and on the spot payment of compensation of such a big project in the history of Pakistan is unprecedented. He said that payment of compensation to the people by PML-N government has proved that the government believes in public welfare projects.
