5th, middle class exams: invigilators’ remuneration increased

The Punjab government has increased remuneration of examiners and invigilators for supervising fifth and middle class annual board examinations across the province.

According to a notification issued by the Punjab Examination Commission fee of superintendents has been increased to Rs 700 from Rs 500, invigilators to Rs 400 from Rs 200, and peons and other Grade-4 employees, who perform duty in the examination centre, to Rs 200 from Rs 100 per day.
A post of deputy superintendent has been notified, who will be paid Rs 600.
Similarly, remuneration of paper checkers has also been raised by four times i.e., from Rs 5 to Rs 20 per paper. The commission has also devised a mechanism to reduce margin of errors in paper marking and for the purpose, now five paper marking centres will be established in every Tehsil.
