Senior Minister for Education Nisar Ahmed Khuhro has assured the teachers community that meetings of departmental promotion committees (DPCs) are being scheduled soon to decide their much-awaited promotion cases on seniority basis which have become overdue.
He was addressing the participants after inaugurating additional classrooms at Government Boys Primary School of Murad Wahan locality on Monday.
He urged the teachers to discharge their duties diligently and dedicatedly to impart quality education to the kids to build future of the children so that they can serve the nation in a better way.
Khuhro said if teachers gave better education, it was sure that parents would send their kids to government schools. He urged them to increase enrollment so that no child was left out of school. He said the government was providing free education and books to the students so that the poor may also get education. He assured the school administration of resolving their outstanding issues on priority basis.
Head Master of the school Muhammad Kamil Jatoi informed the minister that the education standard had improved despite shortage of teachers and classrooms for which he appealed to him to solve these basic issues. Director Elementary Nawab Khokhar, DO Primary & Secondary Anwar Khokhar and Noor Jahan Abbasi, respectively, and other officers were also present on the occasion. Later, the minister distributed cheques among the minority community women.
