Top Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi has asked the government to form a judicial commission to probe the killing of two PIA employees during a protest in Karachi.
Talking to journalists here on Sunday, Qureshi stressed the need for resolving the PIA issue through dialogue.
“The government wants to deprive the employees of their basic rights through the imposition of essential services maintenance act,” Qureshi said as he demanded the government to suspend it.
Qureshi said that the issues could not be resolved with the use of force, and urged the government to address the reservations of PIA employees immediately.
He also said that the government was avoiding a debate over the PIA ordinance in the National Assembly as it feared that a pandora’s box about the proposed privatisation would open if it did so.
