Pakistan will continue supporting the valiant struggle of the Kashmiris for freedom and their right to self-determination, Pakistan’s permanent representative to the United Nations Dr Maleeha Lodhi said while speaking at a meeting arranged by the Consulate General of Pakistan in New York to mark the Kashmir Solidarity Day.
Lodhi said there would be no peace in South Asia without resolution of the core dispute of Kashmir. She said efforts were also being made at the same time for resumption of comprehensive dialogue with India for resolution of all outstanding issues, including Jammu and Kashmir.
The ambassador said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had also repeatedly called for a just settlement of the decades-old dispute in accordance with UN resolutions and the wishes of the Kashmiri people.
