Islamabad – Our Hypocrite Correspondent: Speaking to reporters at a press conference in Islamabad, political leader Imran Khan, who organised the 2014 attacks on the parliament and the headquarters of the Pakistan Television (PTV) Corporation, urged the government not to use force when dealing with those protesting against the privatisation of PIA.
“There is absolutely no excuse for violence,” said Khan. “None whatsoever.”
“It is only when one has no argument that one resorts to violence. That is why the government is cracking down on the protestors.”
When asked about his own track record of violence, Khan clarified. “There is absolutely no excuse for governments to exercise violence. Private individuals can do a lot. That is why I was against an operation even against the Taliban. No contradictions at all,” said Khan.
